This policy explains what information is processed when you use graphsmith.io. The short version: the tools run on your device, and what you put into them is not sent to us.

graphsmith.io is operated by Westernmost LLC, which is responsible for this site and for this policy. "We" and "us" on this page mean Westernmost LLC.

Your data, text and images
The chart makers and the image converters process everything locally in your web browser. The numbers and labels you type, the text you paste into the word cloud generator, and the images you convert are not uploaded to graphsmith or to anyone else. We cannot see them and we do not store them.
Information stored in your browser
Each tool saves your latest work in your browser's local storage so it is still there when you return. This data stays on your device. You can remove it with the Start over button in each tool or by clearing site data in your browser settings.
When you use Copy link, the chart's data is written into the link itself, after the # sign. That part of a link is not sent to our server when the page loads. Anyone you share the link with can see the chart data it contains, so only share it with people you want to see it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools and guides people use and how they find them. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies and collects data such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser, and your approximate location derived from your IP address. It does not receive the data, text or images you put into the tools. We use these reports in aggregate only; we do not combine them with any information that identifies you. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, and you can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking or clearing cookies for graphsmith.io in your browser settings.
Cookies
Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described above, graphsmith does not set cookies. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
Hosting
The site is served through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the service, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This information is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy policy and is not used by graphsmith to identify you.
Contact form and email
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you and keep it no longer than needed for that conversation.
Children
The tools can be used by students of any age because they do not collect personal information. Teachers can use them in class without student accounts. The only visit data is the aggregate Google Analytics measurement described above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information about you. Since the tools do not collect personal information, we hold nothing that identifies you; analytics data is held by Google in aggregate form. For any question, write to us through the contact page.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
